A (CHERRY) TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN

[Being a welcome break from alla this recent Japan-blogging.]

Brooklyn has a lot going for it, aside from the presence of the most esteemed Erica and the fact that it is my Natal Soil.

It also can be downright pleasing to the eye...at least in certain spots.

The above is a time-lapse movie of the Cherry Walk at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. It was compiled from over 3,000 digital photos taken at three-minute intervals.

Bloomin’ amazing!

Tip o’ th’ Elisson fedora to Brandon Hoover of javajive for the link. Check out his site for some of the finest photography in the Bloggy-Sphere...and ponder the existential strangeness of my learning something about Brooklyn (my birthplace!) from a guy who lives in Indo-fricking-nesia.
