Houston Steve tells a story of his Snot-Nose Days as a child in London.
It seems his mother was out and about one day and was knocked down by a passing vehicle - a vehicle that turned out to be a limousine in which was riding the Queen Mother, a lady affectionately known by her subjects as the “Queen Mum.”
As Steve’s mother lay sprawled in the street, the window of the limousine opened and the Queen Mother stuck her head out.
“Are you all right?” she asked, worriedly.
Steve’s mother picked herself up and dropped a curtsy. “Just fine, Mum,” she said.
Not quite as dramatic as being shot in the face by Dick Cheney, but, well, there you are.
