FRIDAY RANDOM TEN

It’s Friday once again, and you know what that means. Time to take a peek at what the iPod d’Elisson is pooching out in its Musical Randomness.

Right now it’s quiet here at Chez Elisson. The Mistress of Sarcasm and Gilad left early this morning for Nashville, this time with a U-haul truck packed to the gills with all of the Mistress’s stuff. Well, most of it, anyway. The Missus and I will drag the rest of it up there tomorrow and deposit a bewildered Neighbor besides.

We will have to get used to being empty nesters again after this temporary period of transition, a period during which we (happily) served as a way station midway between Savannah and Nashville. Bittersweet, for sure. But the flip side is, Nashville is closer than Savannah, especially considering we won’t have to deal with driving all the way to the other side of the Atlanta metro area just to get out of town.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look and see what’s on the box:
  1. Piggies - The Beatles

  2. I Used To Love Her - Richard Cheese

Being a Vegas-style cover of the Guns ’n’ Roses tune.

  3. Cowboy - Randy Newman

  4. Shprayz Ikh Mir - The Klezmatics

  5. Not To Touch The Earth - The Doors

I sure loved the Doors back in the day, but you gotta admit that Jim Morrison was pretty full of shit and hot air. (Obsessed with lizards, too.) This song provides ample evidence.

  6. Resolution - Mahavishnu Orchestra

  7. In Dust We Trust - Chemical Brothers

  8. About To Die - Procol Harum

  9. Ragtime - Randy Newman

  10. The Sinister Minister - Béla Fleck & The Flecktones

It’s Friday. What are you listening to?
