This evening, there will be a lot of Drinky Business at the Club Room at 1010 Midtown. Yes - it’s the December Guild Event!

Traditionally (not that I am in any way an expert on Guild tradition), the December event is a Champagne tasting. This one will be light on the food - mostly a bunch of fancy-pants hors d’oeuvres - so as not to detract and distract us from the Fizzy Wines.

Will Denny be there? Anybody’s guess, but my money is on “Yes”...and both Houston Steve and I will (space permitting) be joined by our Spousal Units, a first!

There will be food as well, an assortment of lah-di-dah Hors d’Oeuvres, to wit:
  • Smoked salmon on hickory ham flavored crostini with Meyer lemon and tarragon yogurt

  • Caviar on crisp fingerling potatoes with crême fraiche and wild chive

  • Brie with toasted almonds on Sardinian flat bread

  • Hand-cut smoked duck ravioli with sage brown butter and Parmesan

  • Seared diver scallops with curry cream sauce
