90 HOLES

Ninety holes in one week.

Seventy-two holes in two days.

That’s golf, Esteemed Readers. Don’t go getting any perverse ideas.

Last Thursday: the Grand National, in Opelika-Auburn, Alabama. The Lake Course in the morning, the Links on the afternoon.

Last Friday: Capitol Hill, in Prattville, Alabama. The Judge in the morning, the Senator in the afternoon. By rights, the three courses there should be named the Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Icing on the cake - eighteen yesterday morning at Indian Bayou, hard by the airport in Destin, Florida.

Upon my return to Chez Elisson, I will post photos. But stories - juicy golf stories - will be thin on the ground. Because, as we all know,

What happens in Opelika, stays in Opelika.
